It is an open type cenote with free fall, where one descends 18 meters on a staircase to a wooden platform to acess the water. The water has a blue or green hue depending on the time of the year and the water mirror is 40 meters longs and wide, with a maximum depth of 45 meters. It is one of the largest cenotes of Yucatan.
It features rustic guardrails around from where one can admire the majesty of the site, as well as long tree roots that reach down to the water mirror. It is managed by the cooperative "Zaas Koolen Haá" (clear water) who care and maintain the quality of the tourist services, charging a small entry fee. This social group offers bicycle rental services, rappel, snorkeling, camping and zip line. It is a place with good conditions for swimming and bird watching. It is recommended to use life jackets, avoid using sunblocks and insect repellents as well as littering inside and outside the water body.3d_rotation 360 ° View
