It's a semi closed type cenote inside a grotto. One of the most visited given it is part of the cenote circuit of Cuzamá. 8 meter long concrete staircase and a wooden platform to access the water.
The water mirror is blue and measures 48 meters long by 20 meters wide, with a maximum depth of 15 meters.
It was used in times of the henequen boom by the landowners as a bathing place, of what some vestiges still remain. It is managed by an ejido group who provides maintenance to the installations, charging a small entry fee in return. It is recommended to use life jackets, avoid using sunblocks and to be very careful when descending the stairs.
How to arrive
