The reserve of the biosphere of Celestún is an ecological park of unparalleled beauty, it is the sanctuary for the protection of more than 300 species of birds, including the flamingos. You can take a one or two hours tour to travel across the surroundings of the arm of the sea. Visit the Island of the Birds, the Sanctuary of the Flamingos or the Petrified Forest.

HalachóHalachó Visit the the Temple of Santiago Apostle at the municipal capital, built in the XVI century; you will be able to observe the peculiarities of its atrium and the original fort-like construction. Afterwards you can venture into the ruins of Siho Oxkintok, old Mayan ceremonial town where remains of pre-hispanic times are within reach.

(afternoon dances) take place.
MaxcanúMaxcanú (Door to the Puuc route) is the first point in the Puuc route. Visit the carved central church and observe its walls sculpted in carved stone. There is a temple dedicated to Our Lady del Carmen, constructed in XVII century and two chapels, the first in honor of San Miguel Arcángel and second to the Three Crosses, as well as three ex-haciendas named Santo Domingo Kochol, Granada and Santa Rosa. Maxcanu has an archaeological zone located in the neighborhood of Chunchucmil, with the same name.
