Progreso

It offers many activities for the recreation of its visitors, with a touristic seafront, numerous restaurants and bars, you will be able to relax by the beach and enjoy the kind emerald water and the soft refreshing breeze. Be it in summer or winter, Progreso is a place to relax. As a proud member of the state of Yucatan, this municipality has cultural attractions of its colonial past. Visit the ex- Hacienda of San Ignacio, the Parish of San José and the Chapel of San Antonio Yaxactún.

Telchac Port

There is a chapel, dedicated to San Juan de Dios, that was constructed in colonial times. Xcambó, “heavenly crocodile”, can be visited near the Port of Telchac. It presents a combination of a traditional settlement and a majestic Mayan zone at the edge of the coast. Visit the stepped plinth and the Mayan pavilions in the mangrove swamps.

It is recommended to visit the town to taste a delicious seafood. It has a a cultural center for the entertainment of young people and the rest of the population, where artistic performances take place.
